The above are some of the headlines that appeared in newspapers all over America. It may come as a surprise for many to learn that the very first casualties of the recent Boston bombings were the two brothers – Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. This is not stated to condone the evil actions of the perpetrators of one of the most horrendous crimes against peace-loving people, but to bring to light the fact that behind the calculated killings there is a more sinister force at work. For example, a person with a severe virus may run a high fever. While the fever itself can be quite a grave problem, it is actually a symptom of another sickness at work. The Boston bombing is the symptom of a more dangerous, destructive disease at work.
The bombers were victims long before they even carried out their evil plan. They were victims of an evil ideology indoctrinated into them. Therefore, any terrorism prevention effort must be based first and foremost on a clear understanding of what motivates people like Tamerlan and Dzhokhar and transforms them to become mindless killers. Unless a physician can identify the disease, he will be unable to cure the patient. It is futile to treat the symptom and not the disease. If you cannot even name your enemy, how can you defeat it?
Does Islam have anything to do with the Boston bombings? More specifically – is the Qur’an in anyway responsible for the Boston bombings? It is time to stop deceiving ourselves. It is time to name the enemy. To win the war against terrorism, it is crucial to identify the foe. It is imperative to know what motivates the terrorists. In fact, the answers to these questions are not difficult. Except for a minority who are courageous, many of our leaders who know the answers to these questions deliberately choose to evade the issue. They know that the real motivation behind extremist Islamic terrorists is religion, yet they find it a taboo to say it openly.
In Islam, it is not how one lives that guarantees salvation, but how one dies.Dying while fighting the infidels in the cause of Allah is the only sure way for Muslims to reserve a special place of honor in Allah’s Paradise. While it is true that the Boston terrorists were not suicide bombers, but this does not in itself mean that they are not prepared to die for their cause. The only thing that prevented them from becoming suicide bombers was their evil desire to carry out more attacks before they give up their lives for Allah. Islam’s assault on humanity by Islamic terrorists is motivated by Qur’anic verses such as these:
Surah 2:207: And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah: And Allah is full of kindness to (His) devotees. (Yusuf Ali)
Surah4:74: “Therefore, let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world’s life for the hereafter; and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward. (Shakir)
Surah 9:111: “Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur’an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.” (Yusuf Ali)
Surah 17:33: “And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right.” (U. Muhammad)
The above Qur’anic verse (Surah 17:33) is an important verse for suicide-bombers, not only to justify their own deaths, but also to justify the killing of other Muslims who may inadvertently become victims of casualties in the process. Since the goal of Muslims is to defeat the infidels (kafirs) at all cost and establish the “right of Islamic rule,” they believe that the end justifies the means. The purpose of these suicide bombers is not just to kill themselves but to kill the enemies of Islam. In the mathematics of Islamic terror, the most effective way to kill as many of their enemies is to execute it in this diabolical way. Their own death is accepted as a necessary sacrifice. The suicide bombers believe that they are rewarded, not for simply dying, but for dying as a means for killing. They are honored as martyrs because they died in the fight against the infidels and enemies of Islam.
The Bargain of Allah
Surah 61:10-13: O ye who believe! Shall I lead you to a bargain that will save you from a grievous Penalty? – That ye believe in Allah and His Messenger, andthat ye strive your utmost in the Cause of Allah, with your property and your persons: That will be best for you, if ye but knew! He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement. And another favour will He bestow, which ye do love, – help from Allah and a speedy victory.(Yusuf Ali)
O you who have faith! Shall I show you a deal that will deliver you from a painful punishment? Have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and wage jihad in the way of Allah with your possessions and your persons. That is better for you, should you know. He shall forgive you your sins and admit you into gardens with streams running in them, and into good dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. That is the great success. (Ali Quli Qara’i)
The above Qur’anic verses were written in the historical context of the Battle of Uhud (625 C.E.). In the Arabic translation of the Qur’an, the term “jihad”is used in these verses.“Have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and wage jihad in the way of Allah with your possessions and your persons.”
According to the teachings of Islam, all Muslims, including pious ones, will have to spend a waiting-period in Hell before reaching Paradise. Faithful Muslims will then be rescued from Hell-fire, while the unfaithful ones are left behind. This rescue operation is supposed to take place during the “Day of Resurrection,” which is yet in the future. Until then, they will taste Hell.
Surah 19:71: “There shall be none of you but shall descend into the same (hell):This is an established decree upon thy Lord.” (Sale)
Since all Muslims, including pious ones, will have to spend a waiting-period in Hell before reaching Paradise, Allah made a bargain with Muslims. He told them that if they die fighting for his cause, he will forgive their sins and will save them from the “grievous Penalty” of Hell-fire. In other words, there is no need to burn in Hell-fire until they are rescued on the Day of Resurrection. Paradise will be instant for those who die fighting for Allah.
Till today, Muslim suicide bombers are motivated by this murderous bargain of Allah. Allah’s bargain is still in force in the Qur’an. Islam reserves places in Paradise for terrorists who die fighting for Allah’s cause. He who gives his life for the Islamic cause will have his sins forgiven and a place reserved in Paradise.
Surah 9:88: “But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are all good things: and it is they who will prosper.” (Yusuf Ali)
Reward for Suicide and Murder
Surah 44:54: “So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes. There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security;Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.”(Yusuf Ali)
Surah 52:20: “They will recline with ease on Thrones of dignity arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.” (Yusuf Ali)
Surah 56:34-36: “And raised couches, Lo! We have created them a (new) creation And made them virgins Lovers, friends For those on the right hand.”(Pickthall)
The Hadiths also serve as excellent motivators for suicide bombing:
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 54:
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said,“By Him in Whose Hands my life is! I would love to be martyred in Al1ah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.”
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 377:
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: On the day of the battle of Uhud, a man came to the Prophet and said, “Can you tell me where I will be if I should get martyred?” The Prophet replied, “In Paradise.” The man threw away some dates he was carrying in his hand, and fought till he was martyred.
Sahih Muslim, Book 020, Hadith Number 4681:
The tradition has been narrated on the authority of ‘Abdullah b. Qais. He heard it from his father who, while facing the enemy, reported that the Messenger of Allah said: Surely, the gates of Paradise are under the shadows of the swords. A man in a shabby condition got up and said; Abu Musa, did you hear the Messenger of Allah say this? He said: Yes. (The narrator said): He returned to his friends and said: I greet you (a farewell greeting). Then he broke the sheath of his sword, threw it away, advanced with his (naked) sword towards the enemy and fought (them) with it until he was slain.
According to the Islamic view, Tamerlan Tsarnaev – the brother who was killed – is now in Paradise sexually assaulting his gift of seventy-two virgins. His seriously wounded brother Dzhokhar will join him when he dies. As for the three murdered kafirs, they are in hell and damnation. Their greatest crime was to be born as kafirs. Therefore, it was an act of piousness, a great service to Allah for the terrorist brothers to kill them.
Westerners should pay careful attention to the sermons of Egyptian-born British Cleric,Abu Hamza al-Masri, on the subject of killing non-Muslims:
“Killing a Kafir who is fighting you is OK. Killing a Kafir for any reason, you can say, it is OK – even if there is no reason for it. You can poison, ambush and kill non-believers. You must have a stand with your heart, with your tongue, with your money, with your hand, with your sword, with your Kalashnikov. Don’t ask shall I do this, just do it.”
Westerners do not understand terrorism. They fail to understand wherein lies the root cause for terrorism. They fail to understand that Islamic terrorism is a form of religious terrorism committed by extremists of Islam for their religious beliefs. With one Boston Marathon terror bomber dead and the other now in custody, thousands in Boston and around the US are celebrating.They think that terrorism is now over. After all, the last remaining terrorist was captured. They feel safe.How naïve?
To solve the problem of terrorism, the ideology that creates terrorists must be destroyed. And that ideology is based on the Qur’an and the Hadiths.It is time for Westerners to learn the truth. It is time for them to wake up. The Russians have an interesting saying: “Fool me once and shame on you, fool me twice and shame on me.”
